My husband and I were out of town all weekend, but some of our time was spent traveling in the car. In his talk “Special Experiences” Elder Ronald A Rasband speaks about the importance of having spiritual experiences to build our testimonies. He compares these blocks to the blocks that you use to build the foundation of your house. In his talk “Message to My Grandsons” President Faust addresses all of the Priesthood brethren, as though they were members of his family. In his talk “To the Aaronic Priesthood: Preparing for the Decade of Decision” Elder Robert D Hales encourages the young men to prepare for the time when they will make most of their decisions regarding a mission, education, occupation and marriage. He points out that once you reach this point (your twenties) that you have little time to prepare, and that you need to take the time to prepare now. In his talk “Life’s Lessons Learned” Elder Joseph B Wirthlin shares experiences that he had as a young man that helped him to develop into who he is today. He speaks of these experiences to illustrate the many different experiences can affect who you become in the long run. In his talk “The Great Plan of Happiness” Elder Marcus B Nash speaks of the importance of living the gospel. He begins by stating the importance of having the Holy Ghost as your companion. He tells us that his father told him the importance of setting the hook in the fish’s mouth by jerking back after the fish has taken the bait. Making the Most of the Sacrament

Sometimes you have an epiphany about something you should have grasped long ago. This past Sunday was one of those days for me. After a long week, I was drained and ready for some spiritual recharging. Dinner Discussions 2008 Week 27

This week’s dinner discussions are based on lesson twenty seven in the manuals. The Primary lessons are one week behind due to the Easter lesson. This week is Pioneer day, and you may want to share some family pioneer stories, or talk about the example that the pioneers set for us.
